My Absence From Blogging

Friends,
Some of you have asked me why I have not been posting much on my blogs. There is a reason for that. I have not told many what is going on. I have not been feeling well. Worse than normal. Normally I am always tired, however I have been extremely fatigued, even going and walking from my front door to the vehicle tires me as if I had just run around the block. I was just thinking that it was my ADD medicine no longer being effective. In early 2007 I had a routine physical just because it had been a long while since my last one, the doctor saw some abnormalities in my blood tests and my urine tests, and requested a follow up in 2 weeks which I did, same abnormalities showed up. He requested I follow up with him in 2 months which I failed to do, because I felt somewhat normal.
On my 28th birthday my wife had taken me out to lunch coming home I bent over to pick something up off the ground in front of the front door. After bending over I got this horrible stabbing pain in my lower right back, I finished picking up what was on the ground and went in the house and laid on the couch. I had a fever and was sweating like I had just run a marathon. I looked up my symptoms and determined them to be a kidney stone, so I called my Doctor and went in for an appointment, took more blood work, and urine sample. Results showed the same as they had in 2007, he also sent me for a cat scan, which came back with a 2 stones and some casts. With those results he wanted me to go to see a specialist, which I was finally able to see him on June 19th.
Speaking with the specialist he ran down a bunch of questions, after the questions he says he has a pretty good idea what my is going on and he says what I believe you have is Renal Tubular Acidosis. He then says but I want to do a 24 hour urine collection and another blood test. I’m thinking oh my god I’m going to have to go up to one of the blood collection sites every time I need to take a leak, this will get old. Fortunately there is this company that has test kits, something I did not know existed.
This is why I haven’t been active lately on my blogs, I haven’t been feeling well. I am however hopeful that things will be getting better within the month.
