Family What Is It?
By Eaglehawk | November 10, 2007
Family is any group of persons closely related by blood, as parents, children, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Some people also consider it to mean a group of close friends and or co-workers. To me, my family is a combination of both. My office family consists of mainly just my department, but including the managers and executives in the company.
My blood family is quite large, first there is my wife, our daughter, and our unborn child. I have cousins and aunts that I rarely see or talk to, but they are still my family. There are also family I see on occasions such as Christmas and Easter. A large number of my relatives live out of the state. My parents live in Arkansas, my aunts and uncles live in New Mexico and Colorado. My brother lives in Texas.
My wife’s mother and great aunts live in the Houston area, as well as most of her moms family. Her father, his new wife, and his family, and extended family live in the Houston area. Though his family has decided that we are not part of the family anymore. I’m not too upset about it, it is his loss.
I love my family related by blood or not. I think if I had nobody to call my family, I would be a different person, I know I would be lonely I really love my family, without them I would be lost.
