GrandFather Clocks
By Eaglehawk | September 25, 2007
As a kid growing up my grandparents on both sides had these beautiful grandfather clocks. Ever since then I have always wanted to get one. I was not fortunate enough to get handed one of them down by my grandparents. While you are looking at clocks to match your home decor, you might be interested in looking at various things. Such as clock styles, they have a lot of information on the different styles.
My favorite style of grandfather clock is the Split Pediment Grandfather Clock Top. I love the type that is the look of natural wood. My parents currently have a Split Pediment Grandfather clock, that was made out of cherry wood. The color is rich and it looks excellent. My dad’s parents had a Bonnet Topped Grandfather Clock, which in their house was absoutely gorgeous and went perfectly with their style of decorating. My mother’s parents had a Round Top Grandfather Clock, which my grandmother loved to decorate with circles so that clocked fit their decorating pattern perfectly. Personally the only two styles of grandfather clocks I don’t like are the flat. I believe everyone should own a Grandfather clock at some point in their life.
